MBA Mission

The provision of an integrated set of knowledge, skills and abilities for students so that they become able to follow a successful career path in managing and leading organizations.

To whom we address

The University of Piraeus MBA Program addresses to graduates of Greek and foreign higher education institutions, whose degree title has been recognized by the Hellenic National Academic Recognition Center (DOATAP)

Duration

The MBA program lasts three (3) semesters, starting in September each academic year. Courses are taught every day, usually in the afternoon and class attendance is mandatory.

Objectives of the MBA Program

  • To provide modern and specialized managerial expertise
  • To support and develop research, on both empirical and theoretical level
  • To associate the program with real business needs, organizations, the economy and society at large
  • To create a framework for strengthening cooperation with relevant foreign programs
  • To facilitate close and systematic collaboration between students and members of teaching staff
  • To prepare capable executives that will contribute to the growth of Greek and foreign companies
  • To develop managers for public administration and public organizations
  • To provide the necessary but also typical qualifications to those students that aspire to pursue doctoral studies

Structure of Studies

​Our MBA program is a 3 semester full time program and offers three concentrations:

  • Business Administration
  • Marketing
  • Financial Accounting

​To acquire the Master’s Degree in Business Administration students have to attend successfully 16 courses and submit a dissertation (Master Thesis).

The program offers preliminary, compulsory (core), concentration and elective courses. The first and second semesters are divided into two two-month periods. Compulsory courses are taught during the first period while concentration courses and electives are taught during the second.

In the 1st and 2nd semester students must also participate in a number of activities such as company visits in Greece and abroad, attendance of special lectures and conferences.

During the 3rd semester, students attend two courses and write their dissertation.
